great hidden (inside a hotel) gem of a spot. Excellent design, food and service. The bartender, Eamon, is great, and sitting at the bar for dinner was a great experience. Highly recommended.

Arguably the best overall dining establishment in the Fairfield/Southport/Bridgeport area. The service levels are second-to-none. From the moment you relax in one of their cozy nooks in the main dining area or tavern section or outdoors a myriad of wait staff descend upon you with water, bread, and quick tasty cocktails. We've had large and small gatherings as well as attended some of their wine-themed events; always an amazing evening to share with friends and family. The hostess staff, amazing floor manager, wait staff and kitchen folks go above and beyond for their customers. Plates come out quickly and pre-warmed to keep the entrees at the perfect temperature for the ultimate dining experience. The menu changes daily so you'll always be in for a treat if you wish to stray from the tried-and-true everyday offerings. Recently we dined as couple only prior to a black tie event; choosing Artisan over a myriad of great restaurants. One of the best choices we've ever made. Two fish specials, salmon and halibut, were cooked to absolute perfection with amazing assortment of mushrooms, watercress, sun chokes and savory broths. The coq-au-vin is also perfection. I tip my cap to everyone whose labour of love shines!

Yummy food. Service was very good. Very attentive to allergies. Lunch crowd so not a lot of people. Ambiance was very pleasant.

Welcoming bar area offering full menu fr the adjacent restaurant. Nice service from a friendly bartender, w equally nice beverage offerings. Ravioli was delicious -- shrimp filling, lobster sauce. Chill groove.

Mature crowd, nice ambiance, and good food with a pretty presentation, but pricy. I got lucky to park myself in the front of the Delamar hotel which is connected to the restaurant, but I think this place was valet only. The outside patio is beautiful with its own separate bar, but today I dined in. To drink I was poured a small amount of Chardonnay, I promise it could have used another ounce. For appetizer I got the Super Food Chop salad, which was colorful with fresh ingredients. My entree was a tender juicy chicken breast served with collard greens and corn cakes. So many flavors that complemented each other. For desert I ate the strawberry cheese cake. I have so many other places to try on this planet, I really don't care to come back.

Amazing upscale restaurant attached to the Delamar Hotel in downtown Southport. Wine list is very extensive and very pricy. Few if any bottles under $50. The food is wonderful from scallops to steak and pasta, you simply cannot go wrong. The service is what you'd expect from a fine dining venue; efficient, polite and attentive. Use Artisan for special occasions: there are private dining rooms and lots of nooks with tables. The bar is lovely and lively. Valet parking only.
